I use mine with the UPlighters as DOWNlighters. ? - colour side of the bar facing down, regular lights off. Works for me, I still have a regular monitor lamp (twice the width of this one). 1st: it DOES remember the last setting - YIPPEE! Most adjustments are simple. 2nd: seperate all in one controls for the lights. 3rd: NOT a DESK light, it works fine for illuminating the keyboard / mouse in front of your monitor, nothing else. 4th: the uplighter is quite good, but you don't really get the effect when using the computer. I still use seperate backlights. 5th: unless you have a square monitor you WILL need two. They really should make different length ones. On its own it lights up an extended keyboard - no wider. CONTROLS. Looking at the lamp cable backwards. L = down lamp. 1 press on, press and hold off. single tap = yellow (night) / white (day) / both double tap = hi, mid, lo. R = uplighter. 1 press on, press and hold off. single tap - cycle through the modes. Not too bright, but good for most things like seeing the keyboard. I am keeping my old monitor light - more like a floodlight really. BIGGIE - forget the mount it comes on; unless you have the right monitor it won't work. Soundbar brackets are ideal to mount this, no point explaining mine and too tricky to photograph. I bought two and the packing is great - they took a LOT of abuse en route to me boxes damaged, contents intact though. Boxes not sealed - no way to tell if they were returns.

Excellent. Why didn't I get one years ago. Probably because LED tech didn't really exist when I started gaming. Already, after two days, it has reduced eye strain. Easy to install, with a long USB cable that easily reaches from the top of the monitor to a PC case on the floor into a spare USB port at the back. Warm white to daylight white, dimmable, RGB back lighting with lots of possibilities, zero screen glare & makes every feel much cosier. Just get one :)

great monitor lightbars, work really well, nice quality and the optional atmospheric backlight is also a neat extra feature. I found them (i bought two) easy to fit and position, minor negative is the sensitivity of the (capacitor sensor??) on/off switch, which sometimes takes a couple of attempts to turn on / off (especially if my fingers are dry). But this is a minor quibble given the price and features. I definitely would recommend them and would buy them again.

The Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp with Gaming RGB Backlight that I purchased, the 51cm one, is great. Negative reviews say it doesn't stay put but the fitment range is stated as between 1.5cm and 3 cm, but my screen is less than a centimetre and its near rock solid, if you smash the side buttons yes it would fall off but they are touch sensitive so no need to hit it. I have attempted to jiggle it to test if it would fall and it doesn't budge. There are negative reviews stating that its not bright enough but it lights up my black desk which is as before it was hard to see everything I put on the desk that was also black. The back light is also great, I didn't really need RGB or the colours, only white, but its helped reduce eye strain even in dim winter day light. It doesn't look sleek, its kinda boxy, but I don't care about such things so its not a negative for me.

Very flimsy attachment which doesn’t securely fit the monitor. Falls forward and it’s wobbly. The light itself seems good but if it doesn’t actually stay on the monitor is of no use. Certainly not worth the £39.99 I paid. Will be returning it for a refund. Poor quality.

This lamp is of very good quality. It doesn't feel cheap. It came well packaged in a box, so it was well protected. It sits well on the top of the iMac as you can see in the picture. I have blue tacked the control switch to the bottom of my iMac as it's very easy to navigate the switch. The lamp offers 3 different heat temperatures but I find the warm light at the lowest brightness is ample at all times. The picture illustrated is at this setting in a dull lit room. Pros. Inexpensive, excellent quality, easy to install, easy to use. Cons. I really wish it could be dimmed a lot lower. I use it late at night and it lights up the room where I wish it would just give a soft low light onto my keyboard.
