Really good light, it's made such a difference to my desk space. The backlight helps reduce eye strain so that I can concentrate for longer, and the different colour temperatures are a very useful feature - Now that the days are shorter I usually have it on the neutral white setting during the day if it's gloomy outside, and change it to warm white for a cosier, more relaxing vibe once I've finished work for the day. I find the remote control quite easy to use now that I've got used to the positions of the touch-sensitive buttons. The light bar fits well on top of a 34 inch ultrawide and my webcam sits nicely on top of it, and I like how the main light and backlight are independently controllable (apart from brightness, but that's not an issue for me personally).

The bar itself is 51cm long, lights to front and rear, providing a ambient back-lit experience to your work space. I returned the last two lamps because one wouldn't grip the top of my monitor because the lip was too small and the other wasn't remote control so it wobbled each time you manually adjusted the brightness. This us perfect. It is a great unboxing experience also.

This light was easy to set up, thought the USB cable is a little short. The remote is attractive in a minimalist way. But even on full power, this light isn't as bright as I'd hoped. It is not as bright as my desk lamp - you can hardly tell it's on during daylight. But I'm sure it will be helpful at night.

I know many people would go more for the typical name brands but this light its amazing, great value for money and works great, I have it on my 39 inch curved monitor (AOC) and works like a charm, gives me enough light to do my typing, scrolling without any reflections on the screen or glaring my eyes, it has great dimming levels and warm/cold colors, enough to do what i need. Good lighting, no glare, choice of colour temperature, and the fact that has both back and front lightning, which can be controlled separately is a win. I use to watch (Amazon) movies on my big screen - I turn off all the lights n the room, the front light of the lamp, and only leave the back one. Remote control - seriously?? you can barely see the inscriptions in good light (and there's 5 of them). Forget in dim light or dark. I usually turn on another light just to be able to use the remote

Priced in the middle range, this light offers both bluetooth control and an additional rear light. Honestly, there is very little to say about it, other than it works really well. There is no overspill with the light, it is controllable and the rear light is a nice additional feature. I am more than satisfied with the quality and performance, and highly recommend it.

This is a little bitter sweet as I tried two other lamps before that just wouldn't fit due to the shape of my monitor. This fit and stays on after I put a couple cables ties on the mount to stop it springing off and removed the silicone cover. (See photo) - monitor is lg 27gl850 My only complaint would be the LEDs are too visible to my eyes, the other two I tried were very well diffused (although twice the price...) and the LEDs didn't catch my eye at all, i'm being very critical here as it isnt too bad. The main thing is I managed to get it onto my monitor, it's okay otherwise for the price. I thought the rear LEDs were stupid but they are actually quite nice to have and you can always turn them off. My other complaint would be the controls but they are not too bad in terms of response, I prefer using the warm light but have to cycle to it each time I turn it on. It does remember the brightness however, so there is that. I'll give it 4 stars as I can get it on my monitor but the light is less pleasent than the others I tried due to lack of good diffusion but its also very inexpensive. Will be keeping this but will upgrade if I can find one with a better light that also fits. For the price. This is excellent and definitely worth the money. You can't go wrong for £30-35ish. I seen in another review of someone complaining of reflections on the monitor (with a picture of there hand, directly in front of the monitor, being lit by the light), any lit object you place directly in front of the monitor, especially under a light from a few inches away is going to show up, the same with any other strong light sources from a distance. It's physics, this monitor light wont change that. For anyone wondering you don't have to worry about any additional reflections on the screen, most monitors have an anti glare coating and you barely notice the very minimal spill that is there. 10/10 would recommend these style of lights on a desk. If £35 or less is your budget, this is really good, for the money.

I bought this desk light for two reasons: 1. It brightens up your desk space for those long nights without having a large footprint, and 2. It comes with back light which reduces the strain from your eyes. Thankfully, this light bar covers both the aspects. An interesting thing about the light bar is the touch controls. I've seen high end light bars come with their own remotes. While those remotes do feel more premium, but they take up a bit of desk space. Instead, this light bar has those controls built in to its sides, which I felt was a sweet and natural addition. Also, both the front and back lights have two color temperatures. They both can be controlled separately. The only thing is that the backlight didn't feel bright enough to me with respect to the front downfacing lights. But the backpanel LEDs are small strips anyways, so that was given.

When writing this review, it was September 28th, and I first received this product on September 4th. I have been using it every day since its arrival. First impressions were phenomenal. Straight out of the box, you get exactly what you want. Three types of light as advertised with varying levels of brightness. The dimmest setting is perfect for a quick run on your device late into the night. The highest setting can illuminate my room which is pretty cool. When I have someone over or just want some light at night time, I turn this on to max brightness along with another monitor light bar I have. I have even used this guy at my University. Setup and removal is straightforward. The setup consists of three parts in total. A cord, the cylinder light bar and an attachment clip. Very easy for people who are on the go. The clip feels sturdy and won't break. I still wouldn't ever be aggressive with it though. Best to be gentle with these types of things. The only reason why I wouldn't get this is if you were intending on using it on a computer monitor, especially a curved one. Since this is advertised for as a laptop light bar, the clip can only clip on something as thin as a laptop monitor. The largest it can open to clip is about 2 cm give or take, but it'll realistically only stay on properly around 1.2ish cm more or less. I would include photos but I am using my laptop. Preparing photos and transferring it to my laptop is not a endeavor I am willing to take at the moment :P Summary: Great product, works as advertised and incredibly happy with my purchased. Used everyday for 24 days and works like the first day I got it. Highly recommend. HOWEVER, do not use this for a computer monitor. There are slim chances that it will fit. Especially larger curved computer monitors. The clip does not open wide as it is intended for laptops.

I wanted to try out one of these monitor light bars and ended up liking this one so much that I bought another for my second screen. There are so many lookalikes of this style of product, but I liked this model because of its simplicity. Not having to deal with another remote dongle helps to keep my desk setup clean, but I still wanted to get a light of decent quality. Pros: + The backlight actually works well to add ambient illumination in low light. It's not too bright, but it gets the job done. + The touch controls are decently responsive with only a light tap, and the operation of dimming and changing color modes is intuitive. Since you don't have to press too hard to activate the switches, knocking the lamp out of position isn't really a concern. This was my favorite feature from the outset, as the reduced complexity helps to keep things neat. + USB C power connectivity means that this can be used with alternative cables quite easily + The anodized aluminum body gives the lamp a premium look, and likely helps to dissipate heat from the LEDs which should improve their service life + Three color modes gives flexibility without overwhelming with too many options. It's actually pretty clever: there are cool and warm white LED in the unit. It switches between them for cool/warm light and uses both for neutral white light. I mostly use it in warm light mode. + The mount for the light is well designed. It uses a combination of a gentle spring and a counterweight to keep the lamp in position at the top of the monitor. Especially thoughtful is the small lip at the front, which helps to prevent overlap with monitors that have small bezels, but your mileage may vary. + The beam pattern works as advertised. It puts light exactly where I need it without glaring into my face. It also doesn't wash out the light on my monitor either. The wide band of light creates diffuse shadows on my work surface, in contrast to the desk lamp I was using before. + It has superbly minimal design. The body of the lamp has some regulatory compliance stuff and info printed on the back facing away from the user, but nothing else. No branding, no toggles, no status lights. It just sorta goes away. Only comes in black, but that's OK for me. Cons and places for improvement: - The included cable is decidedly meh. Be aware that it is a type A to type C cable, so some laptop users may need to power it off of a hub or with a different cable. It's long-ish, but users who wanna tuck it into a monitor arm or have their PC/power supply below their desk (especially with a standing desk) might need something a bit longer. For what it's worth though, it gets the job done, and I'm sure the manufacturer found it to be the ideal balance to keep the lamp's price competitive - Cool blue light is kinda useless for a product marketed at reducing eye fatigue. The light intensity just isn't bright enough to justify the color. Some might like it, but I would prefer that the space be used for neutral or more warm LEDs. - The counterweight on the mount is decently hefty, but the spring on the clamp is a bit weak. The mount doesn't move around when I adjust the height of my desk, but I wouldn't expect it to hold up to too much jostling - Not everyone really cares about this, but I'd like to see more sustainable packaging materials in the future. That said, there wasn't too much single-use plastic in the box The OOWolf light bar may have a goofy name, but it appears to be a well built product. Build quality seems good, and the design and functionality is thoughtful and straightforward. At 40 bucks, I'd say it hits the sweet spot in terms of value for monitor lights. I wouldn't want to spend any more, but I'd be leery of cheaping out too much on something I'll be using daily. Can't speak for the long term performance since I've only had it for a day, but LEDs driven at only 5W shouldn't dim out too badly. I also don't know how good OOWolf's customer service is since I've yet to have issues, but a 1 year warranty indicates a show of good faith to their customers.
