This BenQ desk lamp is an unusual but ingenious design. The circular base is very heavy so it won’t tip over no matter what, and you turn it on/off & adjust the light’s brightness/intensity with a highly tactile finger-stroke control. It’s a pleasure to use and the quality of the reading light is excellent. The most unusual feature is the banana-shape of the lamp to offer a wide arc of light over your work surface, so it’s neither a spotlight nor a full-room light but both at the same time. It’s a strong reading light but illuminates a wider area than just the book/document in front of you. The design is balanced and poised, and looks like nothing else on the market. A very tough power cable connects to the separate power-socket plug, offered with multiple international options of plug-prong design which easily slide in and lock. There is a fat multi-lingual user manual but also an easy-read quick set-up sheet, which is all you need to plug-in and off you go. The only possible downside is that it’s a bit pricey, but once you get it out of the box and set up you quickly realise what a high-quality and effective design it is, worth every penny. Excellent product with a unique, funky aesthetic. Highly recommended.

I am a university student who spends a lot of time reading, typing, and so on. So a good-quality yet multi-function desk lamp is what I have been desperately looking for. I am very glad that I have purchased this lamp, for it's actually the best lamp I have ever had. Not only is it easy to assemble, but also is it smartly designed, which indeed provides me with the most suitable working conditions (good lighting sources) whereas possible. Though it is quite large in size, and it is slightly heavier than what I expected in the first place, all in all, I am still content with such wise purchase! p.s.The only false would be the price, it is a bit costly. However, It’s worth every penny of it.

I bought this light having read the reviews but was put off by its expensive price tag. However, this light is worth every penny. It has completely changed the lighting configuration at my home office; I no longer sit in the semi-dark. Installation was extremely easy and the light itself can be easily manipulated to its optimal angle.

I bought a blue one of these a couple of years' ago and it has been fantastic. It was extremely difficult to get hold of one this time with BenQ struggling to get this lamp into the UK market. So... I imported a silver one from Germany and... it's just as good - comes with all the adapters needed to work perfectly in the UK and identical in fact to the UK model I bought a couple of years ago. If you can get one for a reasonable price, then I strongly suggest buying one. They are sylish, well made, highly functional with the wide beam from the 'smile' shape of the head of the lamp, fully adjustable and the touch on off works perfectly.

The WiT e-reading lamp from BenQ is extremely expensive for a lamp that has a major design oversight - you can't do stepless dimming from 0% light upwards. When you try to dim the light it hits a certain level - which isn't a very ambient level of light anyway - and bottoms out, not going any dimmer! This makes it a poor choice for those interested in achieving subtle ambience in their workspaces. The temperature options are also not ideal. The colour warmth also has a limit; I found even the warmest option much too cold for my liking. The rest of the lamp is designed okay but it's a big lamp and will take up space on your desk or table. The baseplate is very heavy. The ring feature cannot be used to move the lamp because it's actually a touch activated switch to turn the lamp on or off. Disappointing how limited this lamp is for the price. 90 CRI is okay but a £30 lamp from Honeywell has 94 CRI. So could BenQ do better? Yeah, probably.

I bought this after reading several reviews, and review sites. I was skeptical as it is expensive, but after using it for nearly a week, I can say that it is totally worth it. Eye strain is gone. Easy to read by. Does not interfere with my monitors - instead it makes them look better. I wish the stand could raise a bit higher as my monitors are high, but other than that it's the most awesome desk/task light I've ever tried. Would recommend.

Waaaaayyyyyyyy more than I wanted to spend on a desk lamp and I delighted I did. Superior build quality. Very accurate and easy on the eyes light. It's a functional and quite lovely design. Lots of adjustments to the arms, color temp, and brightness. The base could be a weapon if you needed to defend yourself unexpectedly. Everything has a built to last and you got something for your money feel.
